Frequently Asked Questions

For a new leader, the two most important trainings to attend are the Basic Leader Training as well as the training for your age level, such as Daisy Training, Brownie Training, Junior Training, or Older Girl Training. These will equip you with all you need to know to be an effective Girl Scout Leader!

Complete all these trainings, plus your mandatory New Leader Orientation by attending one of our “Super Saturday” Trainings offered from 9-12 on select Saturdays.

Existing leaders are encouraged to attend our Age Level Training which will introduce you to the Girl Scout program. You will learn about the Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting books for your age level, how to earn badges, what types of awards girls can earn, and more!  Existing leaders who are bridging to a new age level are also encouraged to attend the Age Level Training for whichever age level they are changing to, especially if you’ve never used the Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting books.
This is a training that was requested by volunteers in our Council and goes over the basics of a troop treasurer’s paperwork, how to start a troop without going broke, fundraising and money-earning ideas, and more!
We know that our leaders lead busy lives and we strive to meet their needs with convenient, and short trainings. If you are not available to attend the trainings that we have offered, please call us at 456-4782 and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule with a one-on-one training or provide you with the printed materials.
