The Women of Distinction event is an annual fundraiser presented in partnership with BP.  For the last 21 years, the Farthest North Girl Scout Council has joined the community of Fairbanks to recognize and award three remarkable women, while supporting Girl Scouts in Alaska.  Click here to learn more.

Saturday the 19th Youth Safety Day

11am to 3pm at the Regal Cinemas Parking Lot

All Fairbanks families are welcome to come out to the 10th annual Youth Safety Day! Visit booths from local non-profit agencies and businesses, play games, ride the Fire Safety Slide, pick up a FREE bike helmet, get your bike tuned up and then ride the Bike Rodeo and enter to win a brand-new bike!

Wednesday the 23rd Under the Sea Recruitment Party!

6pm to 7pm at the Pioneer Park Civic Center

All Fairbanks girls, Girl Scouts and their families are invited to the Under the Sea Recruitment Party! Find out what a Girl Scout party is like and sign up for Girl Scouts while you’re there! Get a free fun patch at this free event! Play fun games, win prizes, enjoy a delicious snack and learn more about the super fun world of Girl Scouting! This is not a drop-off event.

10-12pm: Basic Leader & Age Level Training
12-1pm: Nut Sale Training
1-5pm: CPR/First-Aid Training ($32 new/$20 renewal)

Daisies & Brownies: 6pm to 6:45pm Juniors and older: 7pm to 7:45pm At the Council BP Room

All Girl Scouts who are participating in the 2017 Nut Sale are invited to kick off the Nut Sale with out-of-this-world fun! Play games, taste the delicious products and win awesome prizes!

Friday the 29th Girl Scout Registration Deadline
Friday the 29th Enchanted Forest On-Time Party!

6-7pm at the Pioneer Park Civic Center

Register for Girl Scouts on-time, by September 29th, and come to the Enchanted Forest On-Time Party! Dress up like your favorite fairy tale character and come play games, eat forest snacks and celebrate being an on-time Girl Scout!

No RSVP required
This is NOT a drop-off event

TBA Freeze-Up Canoe Race

Paddle like a girl and join the annual Freeze-Up Canoe Race!   Invite your Girl Scout friends to make a team to paddle against the Boy Scouts. Canoeing experience is required. Bring your own paddle and life vest if you have one. Contact the Council office to sign up for this annual event!

Wednesday the 11th Girl Scout Travel & Gold Award Informational Sessions

Travel Info Session: 6-7pm
Gold Award Info Session: 7-8pm
At the Council BP Room

If you or your troop is interested in Girl Scout travel come learn about what it takes to have an adventure of a lifetime! Plus, if you’re an older Girl Scout and you are thinking about pursuing a Gold Award, learn about the process and what is required. The first step to getting your Gold Award is attending this required information session. Contact the Council to RSVP by Monday, October 9th.

Saturday the 14th CPR/First-Aid Course

9am to 2pm at the Council BP Room

Adult Girl Scout volunteers are invited to earn or renew their CPR/First-Aid certification. $32 for a new certification or $20 for a renewal.   Contact the Council office to sign-up and pay. Bring a sack lunch.

Our Girl Scout Founder, Juliette Gordon Low was born on October 31st in 1860. Every year we celebrate her legacy and her birthday on Founder’s Day. Stop by the Council office anytime between 3-5:30pm for fun birthday activities, a free fun patch and a cupcake!
