Women of Distinction

The Women of Distinction event is an annual fundraiser presented in partnership with BP.  For the last 21 years, the Farthest North Girl Scout Council has joined the community of Fairbanks to recognize and award three remarkable women, while supporting Girl Scouts in Alaska.  Click here to learn more.

Cookie Training at 5:30pm followed by the regular Service Unit meeting at 6:30pm.  Cookie training is mandatory for any troop participating in the cookie sale.

Thursday the 7th Aurora Service Unit Meeting

6pm in the Council BP Room

Cookie Training at 6pm followed by the regular Service Unit meeting at 7pm.   Cookie training is mandatory for any troop participating in the cookie sale.

Friday the 8th Annual Holiday Bake Off & Shop Sale

Tasting & voting from 3pm to 5pm at the Council office

Get into the holiday spirit by entering a baked good into this annual contest where Girl Scouts and leaders vote on the winner!  All participants will get a free fun patch!  Entries must be turned into the Council office by December 8th at 1pm.  Come by between 3pm and 5pm to try the entries and vote on your favorite!  While you’re here, check out our holiday shop sale!  The winner will be announced on our Facebook page.

Tuesday the 12th Great North Star Service Unit Meeting

6pm in the Council BP Room

Cookie Training at 6pm followed by the regular Service Unit meeting at 7pm.   Cookie training is mandatory for any troop participating in the cookie sale.

December 25th – January 5th Council Winter Holiday

The Council office will be closed for two weeks while we work on inventory and getting our Council ready for Cookie Season!

 

Dec 25-Jan 5 Council Holiday Break

Office Closed from December 25-January 5.  We will reopen with regular business hours on Monday, January 8th.

Friday the 12th Cookie Kick-Off (NEW LOCATION)

Friday, January 12th at the Pioneer Park Civic Center from 6pm to 7pm

All Girl Scouts participating in the 2018 cookie sale are invited to kick off the cookie season with a splash!  Come join us for this ocean & beach themed cookie kick-off!  We’ll taste the cookies, play games and learn about the best and safest ways to sell cookies!  No RSVP required.  This is NOT a drop-off event.

 

Saturday the 13th Cookie Pre-Orders Start at 9am!
Monday the 15th Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Our Council office will be closed in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  We will reopen with regular business hours on Tuesday the 16th.

Tuesday the 16th Troop Expense Reports Due!

All troops MUST turn in their Troop Expense Report.  Contact the office with questions.  A blank form is available in the Forms page on this website.

Wednesday the 31st Booth Sale Lottery

We will begin making phone calls at 9am to leaders who submitted their troop into the booth sale lottery.  Good luck!
